"Pity that this can no longer be labelled ‘Ebenezer’ - thanks to the blinkered thinking of some of the big wine companies; it’ll turn out to be a small victory over one of their neighbours in a global war that they’ll lose. Promotion of sub-regionality helps everyone; snuffing it out hinders everyone. If you liked the 2007 you will certainly like this. It’s thick with flavour. It tastes raspberried, meaty, coal-like and fragrant, and it manages to combine serious dark flavour and shape with effortless drinkability. Excellent length too. Maybe a touch on the sweet side but hey, it tastes gorgeous. Rated : 92 Points Alcohol : 14.5% Price : $20 Closure : Screwcap Drink : 2009 - 2014"
