Tasting Notes:
rated: August 20, 2003 , Robert Parker
91 points "The most serious effort from this estate, as well as the most expensive, is the 2001 The Hattrick, a blend of 50% Shiraz, 43% Grenache, and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses a deep ruby/purple color, tremendous fruit, a flowery component on the palate, and surprising elegance as well as definition. Although it sees 70% new oak (mostly French), the wood is well-integrated. Drink it over the next 7-10 years." Best 2003-2013

85 points "Smells ripe, tastes tart, with minty berry and pepper flavors that struggle against the sharp acidity on the finish. Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2006. 1,800 cases made. (HS)" Best 2006-
