Tasting Notes:
rated: April 21, 2009 , K&L Wine Merchants klwines.com
"A delicious, balanced blend of 55% merlot and 45% cabernet sauvignon from Château Maurac in Bordeaux's Haut-Médoc. This château-bottled wine is a K&L Direct Import and an excellent value, too! The wine has blackberry aromas that follow to the palate, showing power and richness from its northern Médoc location. It has a fine sweetness on the palate and a lingering finish. Will cellar well but also drinks beautifully now if you decant it one hour in advance and serve it with a rare New York strip. Do we have to remind you that 2005 was a fabulous year for Bordeaux? If you liked their 2003, you'll love this!"
