"Wine Spectator 92 "Firm in texture, a bit chewy with tannins but glowing at the core with currant, dried blueberry and smoke aromas and flavors that linger nicely. Best from 2013 through 2017.
Winery Notes: "Intense aromatics of anise, mint, earth and berry are balanced with notes of wood and fruit flavors. The mid-plate presents chocolate cherry and slight vanilla notes that lead to a powerful, lingering, seductive cocoa berry finish. The layered flavors and aromatics of this vintage are reminiscent of the 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon." "

"The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve was sourced from a variety of vineyard sites in several AVAs. It was aged for 26 months in 100% new oak, a mix of French and American. Purple-colored, the wine exhibits scents of pain grille, scorched earth, black currant, blackberry, and licorice. On the palate it offers abundant spicy black fruits, chocolate, and mocha. There is plenty of depth and a long 45+ second finish. The structure is present for 4-6 years of further development in the bottle and it should provide pleasure through 2030."
