94 points "The 2001 Barolo Falletto displays a more deeply colored, rich translucent ruby color. It opens with a sweet, balsamic nose of spices, oak, and minerals, and is packed with layers of deep, dark fruit that gradually open to reveal themselves on a big, strapping frame, with outstanding length and a beautiful note of freshness to cap off the finish. An Azienda Agricola Falletto di Bruno Giacosa bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2023. " Best 2011-2023

96 points "Hedonistic and very, very rich. Blockbuster. Racy. Masses of fruit on the nose, with plum, berry, and toasted oak. Full-bodied, with chunky tannins and a long, long finish. Fruit bomb. From a tiny section of the Barolo maestro's own vineyard in Falletto. Best after 2010. 950 cases made. (JS) Darker and deeper in color than the Falletto, even more potent and penetrating on the nose, explosive on the palate with a medley of sweet fruit, licorice, mint, chocolate, and tar, the full-throttle 1999 Barolo Rocche di Falletto, tightly wound but oh so sumptuous and rich on the finish and aftertaste, rivals the legendary 1996 Barolo Falletto Riserva. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2035. " Best 2010-2020
