96 points " Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh says: It's a beloved label but in recent years it's outdone itself. The 2006 was outstanding and this 2008 is, quite frankly, worth double the money. A pearl of a wine. It's concentrated, serious, smooth-textured and strong, with ticks in the boxes of impact, structure and length. Blackberries and chocolate, plums and vanilla. Some alcohol warmth on the finish but nothing to worry about. It all adds up to something quite stunning. Drinking: 2010-2015 Rating:94RRP Value: The Big Red Wine Book 2010/11 James Halliday says: Good colour and bouquet, but it is the palate that shows why this wine won trophies at the Adelaide (Best Shiraz) and McLaren Vale Wine Shows; it is bursting with spicy black fruits, but best of all is its outstanding drive and length.
