"Color: cloudy; Nose: discreet; Aromas: floral, spicy, sweet, dried fruit; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: persistent; Overall: pleasant; In the very beginning there were cherries wrapped in a chocolate leather scented with laurel & wild rosemary plucked from the sea-splashed rocky shores of Eretria by the nymph Daphne, who ingenuously exposed her virtue to any number of rutting immortals floating high above her in the bright Summer sky . . . perhaps a bit excessive, but true nonetheless, & who can deny the tongue tingle of freshly grated nutmeg, or the infatuating whiff of allspice, peppercorn & cloves with a light rub of Mexican chipotle along the rim of a single petal from a night-flowering cactus? But always the rosemary, yes, & cedar too, & tea with dense dark flavors of rare cola berries imported from Bali, dark licorice root from the fens of Serendip, & with barberry & black, black cherry with fangs that refuse to let go of your tongue."
